Establishment of a branch office for the sale of automotive parts in the United Arab Emirates

SS Trading Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Takuma Shoda) is pleased to announce the establishment of a branch office for the sale of automotive parts in the United Arab Emirates (hereinafter referred to as the UAE).

According to used car export statistics provided by the Japan Used Motor Vehicle Exporters Association (JUMVEA), the UAE ranked first in the number of used cars exported from Japan in the 2023 fiscal year (vehicles priced at 200,000 yen or more), making it one of the world's leading markets for the regional concentration of automotive parts.

Our company collects used vehicles primarily from insurance companies and leasing companies, and dismantles them in accordance with the Automobile Recycling Law at our own factory. The used automobile parts that are commercialized are exported and sold mainly in South America and the Middle East.

This time, due to the increase in the volume of products handled at our own factory, we have decided to establish a branch office in the UAE. The UAE branch will support sales for existing clients and conduct wholesale sales of our products in the Industrial Area of Sharjah, which is known as the automotive parts hub of the emirate.

Additionally, leveraging the UAE's role as a trade hub, we will explore the development of export sales agency services combined with trade finance for automotive-related companies, as well as re-export businesses targeting the Middle East, Africa, and other Global South regions.
